New to the team - Tim Bourne, Technical Account Manager
14.12.2009Tim Bourne has 36yrs in the Packaging Industry, 13yrs in Packaging Machinery and 23yrs in the print & packaging industry, & holds a HND (Higher National Diploma) In Mechanical Engineering after 4 yrs study at Kitson College of Mechanical Engineering in Leeds (UK) while working for Rose Forgrove Packaging Machinery Company, a manufactures of high speed packaging machinery as a Packaging Engineer.
After qualification worked for Foxes Biscuits UK (part of Northern Foods) as a packaging engineer.
Returning to Rose Forgrove Packaging as a Service Packaging Engineer, specialized in the servicing and commissioning of high speed packaging machinery for the Confectionery, Tea, and other FMCG industries through out the world.
Re located in 1982 from the UK to South Africa working for Beacon Sweets Confectionery Durban, as a Packaging Engineer & latter Beckets Tea Durban as a Packaging Engineer.
1986 to 1997 joined a major folding carton company as a packaging engineer progressing in to sales development providing full turn key machinery systems for FMCG customers. Achieved a world 1st with the development of a liquid pkg machinery system for carton board filled liquid detergents for 4 of the world largest detergent suppliers.
In 1997 went self employed selling specialist microwave Susceptor packaging for a US based company, developing functional packaging design, selling of licence's to FMCG & folding carton companies. Conceived and developed a patented solution for McCain's Foods for a self lifting DuPont film / Susceptor press board tray combination for use in the microwave.
2001 Joined Mayr-Melnhof Packaging UK, Set up new packaging designg department lead turnaround of Pkg dev in the UK, implemented strategy for higher added value pkg through pkg design & development.
2006 moved to Group role at Mayr-Melnhof Packaging International GmbH executed packaging development strategy to support its customers pkg development needs.
2010 moved to Pac project as Technical Account Manager.
